The pledged Bitcoin remained recognized on American Bitcoin's balance sheet because the company retained repurchase options. American Bitcoin is a majority-owned subsidiary of Hut 8. To prevent double counting, Hut 8's directory profile uses only Hut 8's approximately 9,311 standalone BTC, while American Bitcoin's 7,021 BTC is counted here separately. American Bitcoin mined 817 BTC during Q1 2026 and reported $62.1 million in revenue, a $118.2 million operating loss, and an $81.8 million net loss.
